This is a challenge designed for women who have been training Crossfit and want to test their limits or are ready for something new. Do you want to lift heavy and compete? This is for you!
Think of strongman as Crossfit with heavy weights. You will lift odd objects for a select amount of time (typically 60 seconds) for either a max rep/distance/or weight. Winning here is around 10 reaps, not 40. Weights are heavier and volume is lower.
Women who crossover from crossfit are particularly good at strongman. They are super explosive from the olympic lifts so bag throws, deadlifts, and speed events are great for them. Then, they do a TON of overhead which is a staple in our sport. and finally, their motor, Crossfit athletes routinely out perform everyone on the event field when it comes to endurance events.
We have consistently developed top performing female athletes in the sport of strongman. Specifically women who have crossed over from crossfit. From local winners at their first show (just like you), to competing at Official Strongman Games World Finals, Arnold World Championship, America's Strongest, The Shaw Classic, and Nationals.
